An Introduction of Color Theory for Web Designers

Introduction of Color Theory: Today, we'll explore the importance of colour in web design and how to select a visually appealing colour palette for your next project.

Triadic Color Scheme

1. Choose your base colour using a colour wheel.
2. From here, draw an equilateral triangle.
3. Your tri-colour design will be created by the triangle's three points.

Analogous and Monochrome

Analogous schemes use colors like yellow and orange tones that sit next to each other. For a simpler approach, a Monochrome choice uses various shades of a single base color.

Visual Harmony and Contrast

Visual harmony is produced for the eyes by selecting hues from opposite extremes of the spectrum. High contrast between elements helps readers focus on your text and makes it easy to read. Remember: The brighter the hues, the more mental energy users will spend.

Use tools like Adobe Color and Paletton without hesitation; they'll only make your life simpler and keep you from getting annoyed with the learning process.
